5 Days duration - 25 hours tuition
Tutorials: Monday to Friday, 12.00pm to 5.00pm
These courses are designed to focus in on certain modules in the Live Sound Diploma courses.
We are currently running Yamaha LS9 and Pro Tools Courses.
YAMAHA LS9
You will learn to use and configure this desk in a week long course. This desk is commonly used around UK venues.
You will learn about using the Mono and Stereo input Channels, the extensive channel functionality, scene memory, the mix and matrix buses, the built in virtual rack with high quality effects and onboard processors, usb recorder and playback and detailed access management. Also being able to sync and use the LS9 editor with it on an external PC or Laptop. Also learning about the desks expansion slots, and its Digital I/O.
The Yamaha M7 console also runs on the same software, so this will put you in a good place to work on the M7 as well.
PRO TOOLS
This is aimed at new users looking to quickly gain a solid understanding of the operation of Pro Tools. Using Audio from a pre-recorded band you will be able to record, edit and sequence Audio and Midi. You will also have a solid understanding of work flows. You will also learn about using Plug-ins with Pro Tools when doing the final mix.
Also on this course we will use Apple's Logic Pro and Ableton. These are 2 other well used DAW's. This course is great for Live Sound Engineers as you will be able to record bands out on tour, and then mix yourself or give the Pro Tools File to the band for them to take to studio.
