George is an experienced teacher with the ability to present complex principles in a way that's easy and fun to understand. He has a passion for passing on his expertise and knowledge. His teaching style is based on the principle that in order to learn something one has to actually do it.

He has 20 years experience in mixing FOH and Monitors for many bands from Green Day, Chris Christopherson, Taylor Hawkins, Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen to name just a few!

LAE as a company has being responsible for the specification, installation and maintenance of many medium to large venues in London.

Yiannis Karampelas,

Course tutor

Yiannis has been work in sound since 1999, touring with music bands and theatrical companies around the world, working with major audio installation companies as Sound Technician, teaching, recording and mixing in studios.

Has worked with The Magic Numbers / The Blood Arm / Little Barrie / John Power / Dawn Landes / Eddie Kowalczyk / Reef and many more. Plus Festivals such as Glastonbury and o2 Wireless.

Krizstian Vass

Course tutor

Krizstian has been working in the live audio industry for more than 10 years. He is a practising live sound engineer and works alongside George using the same teaching methods concentrating on the practical work. he adds his personal experiences to the course.

He has mixed FOH and Monitors for many great bands including Megadeth, Michael Bolton, Mr. Hudson And The Library, Uriah Heep.

David Preston

General Manager

David joined LAE two years ago. As a musician playing in London, he also wanted to be a sound engineer. After doing the Diploma Course at LAE, he became a sound engineer here at Scala. David has gone on to work with Adam Ant, Carl Barat, The Killers, and many more.

He has now also become an intergral part of the running of the school. Duties include administration, advertising, web design, registrations and course timetable. David will be your first point of contact and will be able answer all you queries and arrange a visit to the venue.
